We’re two founders who met through the yoga teaching community and realized we were asking the same question: Why is the fitness industry so hard to navigate?
Between us, we’ve spent decades inside it. First as students, then teachers, and eventually operators working closely with studios behind the scenes. And truthfully, we still see ourselves as students today: constantly learning, evolving, and refining the way we move through this industry.
As consumers, we felt the frustration firsthand. Building a consistent, well-rounded fitness routine meant juggling multiple memberships, class packs, apps, and price points, at a cost that felt unsustainable.
At the same time, we saw what the current system was doing to studios: prioritizing volume over loyalty, transactions over community, and growth at the expense of sustainability.
The system isn’t working for either side. Arcana is our attempt to build something better.
We believe movement should feel intentional, not overwhelming. That discovering the right studios and routines should feel curated, not chaotic. And that the businesses creating meaningful experiences and communities deserve models that support their long-term growth.
We’re currently building Arcana alongside our founding member cohort as we prepare for a broader launch.
In the meantime, check out our blog: a place where we share ideas, observations, and what we’re learning while building Arcana in real time.
The Team

Felicia Dodge
Co-Founder / CEO
I started my career in the Silicon Valley tech startup world, earning my Master’s in Applied Analytics from Columbia University before going on to lead an insights team at Twitter. I’ve spent the last decade at the intersection of data, strategy, and growth, and I’ve spent just as long trying to figure out my ideal fitness routine. For what it’s worth, I’ve landed on three: hot yoga, running, and HIIT.

Cole Tomlinson
Co-Founder / CTO
I’ve spent the last decade as a software engineer building scalable systems, currently at Trello, and just as long being that person who blocks off their calendar around their workout schedule. My three: hot yoga, strength/lifting, and HIIT. I know what it takes to piece together a real training routine, and I know what it should feel like when the infrastructure finally gets out of your way.
